In the Ligurian mountains at 600 meters the Casa Capinera is nestled in an enchanted garden with a view of the Maritime Alps. Nature lovers will feel right at home here. While hiking through the olive groves, forests and alpine pastures, you can discover many wild herbs, collect mushrooms or chestnuts, or perhaps find a black truffle. If you would rather not go out on your own we would be happy to organize a guided tour, plan a picnic together or just provide you with tips and detailed directions.

The Casa Capinera is situated among olive groves allowing you to admire the ancient trees and of course taste the good Ligurian olive oil as well as the cured olives. In the summer you can snack on fresh fruit from our own trees such as cherries, apricots or figs or look for ripe tomatoes, zucchini or bell peppers in the vegetable garden. Italy’s most famous garlic is grown in a nearby town. It is known for its mild aroma and is therefore well tolerated. Foodies can marvel at the way that saffron grows and of course taste the delicious results when cooking with this spice.

Just 25 minutes by car you find yourself looking out over the deep blue Mediterranean Sea with its charming harbor towns such as Imperia, Alassio or Laigueglia and its interesting beaches. From bizarre rocky coastlines that are perfect for snorkeling or diving, to gently sloping sandy beaches with cafés. In short there is something for everyone.

Culture enthusiasts can follow their passion and visit the many medieval cities with their Romanesque or Gothic churches such as those in Albenga or Cervo, or enjoy a tour through San Remo or Nice.
